DEFIANT

Ok, so Patrick is almost walking but as he is learning to do so he is pulling him self up on everything. Lately he has been pulling him self up on the kitchen cupboards and eventually opening them and trashing my whole somewhat clean kitchen floor. I have been on this clean kick lately and since we have gotten back from camping, I am still trying to catch up, soooooo any little mess he makes is quite unappreciated (she says in a high pitched annoyed voice). oooooooohhhhh but when I tell him no, he just smiles at me and when I shake my head he does it back at me with a little bit more enthusiasm then I would like. But I cant help but smile at his sweet face and absolute indifference to my wishes. I also have to consider that he is cutting two new teeth which will bring his count to eight and if I had two new sharp objects trying to break their way through my gums, I wouldnt be a happy camper either.

Wicked!!

Ok, so I was able to go to the most awesome thing the night of the 24th. Mom, Sara, Stephanie, Janea and I went to see the Broadway musical Wicked in LA. I have listened to the music on cd but I never new all of the story so it was amazing to finally see the actual thing. It was amazing. It even had Carol Kane in it. She was soooo good. The music was beautiful, the actors were incredible and I couldnt believe I was there. I almost cried at the end. I would go do it again in a heartbeat. So far the only shows I have seen have been, The Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, and Riverdance and now I can add Wicked. AWESOME doesnt even say it.

And We're back...

Well, we are back from our fabulous Wishon adventure. We spent 3 days and two nights at Camp Wishon. A beautiful place with great fishing and wonderful wildlife ( do I sound like Steve Irwin yet?) The first night was only Mom, Sara, Jesus, Patrick and I and the next afternoon we were joined by Ben and Janae and Cory, Stephanie and Caleb. Im kind of glad it was a short trip, with babies its makes it all the more difficult to camp. We also, thanks to the marvelous Randy Clement, were able to do a little fishing. The first morning there, Jesus got up and caught a fish before the sun came up.

Then I decided to show him up with a bigger one.

We fished the for a while but this was all we got. Then we headed back to camp for Patrick to have a nap and I just had to join him. So while we napped Jesus went and caught another fish. When everyone else showed up, we went again to see if we could catch anything else. I hooked one but my hook broke off, then Jesus caught 3 more. By the end, I was so frustrated from getting my line tangled and all the annoying kids from other campsites throwing rocks and wading through the water trying to catch fish with their bare hands. I guess I just need more practice. Hey, at least I caught one! Jesus had a great time too, except I was constantly asking his help to fix my line, Im sure he got sick of that. But he enjoyed it the rest of the time.
Patrick had a wonderful time, he loved looking at the fire and all the trees. Since he cant walk yet he spent most of his time in the playpen but it didnt seem to bother him much since he was outside and there was so much to look at.
Patrick slept pretty well too. I was suprised but relieved the first night when he slept all the way through. The second night he woke up around 4 and slept with us the rest of the night, it must have been cold in his bed. All in all we had a good time. The mosquitos were a little rough but we survived and it was tougher with a family of my own to take care of. But we had a great time and the pictures to prove it.

Now if you will allow me, I have to find out what happens to Harry Potter!!!!!

Summer Fun Rolls on........

Well we recently got news that Jesus's sister Roxanna and her husband Diego were going to be here from Texas, so we decided to plan a little get together with them and Roseamber's kids, Patricks cousins. We did a little swimming, a little barbeque, and a lot of fun. We got to catch up and they got to meet Patrick for the first time. He loved them!! I should have got a lot more pictures but Im lazy.
Then Sunday we went over to moms for our usual lunch and lay around the house. Patrick and Caleb got to play together, which they havent done for a long time. Now that Patrick can crawl around, he can keep up with Caleb a little better. We watched them for hours, it was great entertainment.
I love this one of Caleb hugging Patrick. Patrick looks like he's going to punch someone.

This last picture is of Cory reading the Sports Section to Caleb. Maybe Caleb will be a fanatic too!

Sweet Land...

Well we didnt have the greatest fourth of July but it was Patricks first so I had to get some good pictures. We got up early and had breakfast then we went over to Mom and dads to enjoy some good barbeque. We invited some people over for swimming and some good eatin' and in the process, Patrick picked up a bug. He woke up from his nap with a 100.4 temperature, which for him was high. The rest of the day we spent giving him tylenol and holding him to keep his fever down. He was so lathargic that it was scary. We all know how absolutely wiggly he is. We finally decided to give him a blessing. Minutes later his temperature was down enough for him to watch a few big fireworks from Mom and Dads country club down the street then he went to bed. It was a great time. We had the Elingers and their little Noah, we had Courtney, Dillan, and Zoie Potter. We had the Cory Randalls and last but not least we had Mandi and Stephen Russell. We all had a good time playing with the kids and talking. Hopefully next year will be better. God Bless America!!!

Here's Patrick showing his patriotism

Ummmm......

A classic picture for years to come

Caleb, although naked, loves America too!

I think this picture speaks for itself

Well, I have to apologize to my dear husband for not posting anything about our anniversary on the 24th. I am such a bad wife, booo! Jesus and I celebrated our second wedding anniversary last Sunday and I am so happy to be married to him. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful man to support us and love us as much as he does. The day I met him, I knew he was the one for me. I will post a picture of us back when we were just too dang cute as an engaged couple.
