Step 3: Find the perfect disguise

Grandma's home!!

Grandma went to Hawaii. Again. We always benefit though. Not in the way of actually going with her or anything but reaping the gifts she finds there. I'm sure we would all much rather go. On her latest jaunt she found some really cute outfits for the kids.

Yes she's crying, but doesnt the dress look cute?

Oh look, now she's smiling

Patrick kept calling these his work clothes and said now he needed to go to work. Good, we need a little extra income for fun things!

The earings are hard to see but I got little plumeria earrings. (Do you like how I'm trying to be interested with whats on tv? It was PBS. I wasnt interested.)

An Early Halloween

I couldnt decide on what Elena should be this year. I know I wanted to make it so I figured if I found red fabric with white spots she would be a minnie mouse and if I found red fabric with black spots she would be a lady bug. Well I found neither so Sara and I talked about it and and we decided she should be minnie mouse. I found red fabric and made my own spots. I made her a black onesie with flutter sleeves, sewed on a couple more spots and I made a headband with ears and a bow. The shoes were patricks old church shoes and I just painted them yellow. I think it came together well and it was really cheap with all of the halloween sales and the black fabric I already had from when I made Patricks pirate costume, for some reason I bought a ton. Good thing. Patrick said that he wanted to be Buzz Lightyear so we bought him a cheap one from target. I was anxious to try out Elenas costume and luckily Reese Cola was having a birthday party that was a costume party. So we dressed up and headed out.
Surprisingly Elena wore her ears for quite awhile before realizing they were there and ripping them off.

Patrick wanted to be Spiderman so we put him in his Spiderman pajamas. I was a little upset because we had spent the money on his costume but I went with it. About an hour before we left he was drinking juice and spilled all down the front of his "costume" so unfortunately "wink wink" he had to wear his costume I bought.

Patrick had a good time playing with the older kids. Here he is with one of his victims. Those boys were such good sports.

Lost and Found

A long time ago, my dad gave me this camera. It isnt digital, he gave it to me before digital was "the thing." So I was looking at some of Jimmy Buntings photos and I decided to try and take some pictures of the kids with this old camera. When I pulled it out I found a roll of film that was ready to be developed inside so I got a disc of the pictures and I had absolutely no recollection of taking these pictures.

So then I took some picture of the kids now, unfortunately Patrick was in a horrible mood and wouldn't stop crying, hence the crying pictures.

So Jimmy, how did I do??

Wipe out

One of Elena's favorite things is wipes. She loves to pull them out and wipe everything. The other day she was wiping our walls. What a good helper.

These are my underwear children. Its not a party until you wear underwear on your head. Isnt that how that goes??

From pants to skirt

Jesus and I are dancing at the stake Barnyard dance this Saturday and I really wanted to buy a new denim skirt or some denim shorts for the occasion. Well, we are trying to be more frugal so we found me some boots yesterday at Goodwill and then I decided to take on a quick sewing project. I had some old jeans that I didnt really like to wear and they were too big for me so I whipped up a denim skirt. It was pretty easy and fast once I unpicked the inseam.

I just need to keep practicing like this and I will be able to make anything, like Jocelyn! Im going to try and make Elena's costume this month so I hope I can find the time to make it the way I want.

The Inevitable

My kids are getting bigger and there's nothing I can do about it, so I'm capturing all the best moments I can. I want to remember them like this forever.

Patrick got this LeapFrog game for his birthday and he is getting so good at it. He is so smart!

Elena has been so funny lately. Her expressions are priceless and she kisses everyone. She loves to hug and kiss and it is so sweet. I gave her a bowl of strawberries and she went to town.

I got some pictures of her in the bath last night and she was really cute talking to the bath toys and then she found some ants on the edge of the bath and decided to talk to them too.

Sorry for the amount of videos, she was so cute in all of them that I couldnt choose
