8 years of Love

For our anniversary we went and got hibachi at my favorite restaurant The Wild Ginger. The sushi is good and so is the food they cook in front of you.

Afterwards we went to a movie and unfortunately we didn't get a picture of our cute selves but it was a wonderful night. I love my husband more than anything. I always laughed at people who said that they love someone more each day because I thought, how can love change? But it can. I love him more than the day I married him. He is sweet and kind and hard working and sometimes aggravating but I know that I can be too and he puts up with me. Thats why I love him. More than anything.

My Mothers Day

No I know its not actually Mothers Day but its my Moms birthday. I love her so much and I don't know what I would do without her. I am always thinking "what would my Mom do in this situation". She has raised 4 strong God fearing children that love the gospel. This was not an easy thing to do but she did it. Happy Birthday Mom!!!!

Last day of Swimming lessons

On the last day of swimming lessons the parents get to sit by the pool and take pictures and watch their kids swim.

The kids are little hams. But I loved both of their teachers this year and the kids are doing great at swimming. They are already looking forward to next summer.

Diving Day

Today was Diving Day!! The kids love diving day and have been asking when they get to jump off the diving board since swimming lessons started. The Rec center has a nice diving pool thats about 13 feet deep and it is only for jumping off the diving board.

Elena is so brave since she can't swim to the side by herself yet so she has to jump to her swim teacher with a noodle and they help her to the side.

Patrick loves jumping off the diving board and he is so great at swimming now that I'm not even worried about him.

Poor little head

Summer has been rough. The kids have been fighting. As a result Patrick opened a door that Elena was behind and slammed the lock on the doorknob into her sweet little head. Poor child.

She's a picker so I have to keep it covered for a while it heals.

Quiet girl

I let Elena play with the iPad the other day and after a while it was quiet so I went to check on her and she had fallen asleep with headphones on while listening to music.

 She's so sweet

Fathers Day

For Fathers Day we decided to BBQ some meat but since we wanted to give the Dads the day off, I offered to cook it. Well that didn't happen apparently I can't BBQ. Or am not trusted to BBQ. It really is something Jesús loves to do so I know he didn't mind.

Then the kids did some dancing. They were so cute.

 And adorable little Benjamin.

Girls camp lesson

So we headed back up to Girls camp Friday night for the testimony meeting. Before we left I felt I should have my tires checked. Well I ignored it and thought it would be too much of a hassle to take the car in and what if I would need new tires?? I just didn't want to hear that. Well we went to the testimony meeting and to the hotel and then the next morning we drove to the camp to help drive the girls home. Theeeeennnnnn......bad news. My tire was flat. I was so mad at myself. I didn't listen to the prompting and had to pay the price. I didn't get to take any of the girls home and instead caused more problems because the Stake President had to find a donut in some one elses car to put on mine so I could get mine repaired. I also had not replaced my spare on the back of my car. I put it off. Dumb me. I've learned my lesson. Never ignore a prompting. Even when it seems inconvenient.

Girls Camp Skit night

I couldn't go to girls camp this year which was pretty sad, but I for sure didn't miss being out in the heat and the bugs and smelly loud teenage girls. As much as I love them. We decided to head up for skit night which was their first night there to see the skit they had worked so hard on. They did such a great job. The theme this year was "Oh The Holy Places You'll Go" like Dr. Seuss. It was awesome. All the skits were so creative and cute. The scripts were creative and just freakin adorable. Our ward had Horton hears a who and they did such a great job.

I'm so glad we went. We are headed back on Friday night for testimony meeting. I'm so excited. My presidency and I are going to stay in a hotel so it should be a fun girls sleepover.

Cat and kids

So as I was putting things away the other day, I went into the kids bathroom and was startled that the cat was laying in the their bathtub. I don't want to be that person that blogs about a cat but I thought it was just weird. I guess thats where she stays cool.

I was changing the sheets on our bed and instead the kids thought it was jump and wrestle time on my bed instead.

 Good times.
