Monsters vs. Aliens

We went to see this movie on Saturday night. It was very last minute and we wanted to take the kids with us. So we got movie times and went. It was hilarious. We loved it! We have taken Patrick to see 1 other movie before, I think it was Walle and he was terrible. He wanted to wander all over the place and screamed bloody murder when we tried to get him to sit down. This time, he sat on Jesús's lap the entire time! Didnt move once! It was the best experience ever. Elena watched it then got tired so I fed her and she slept throught the rest. I recommend it to everyone. Your kids will love it!!

Come and Get it!

I am getting rid of baby stuff! It will be a continual process as Elena grows out of stuff. If know one wants it, Im taking it to Goodwill.

I have this Baby tub that is in good shape. Patrick just keeps using it for a car or a surfboard. The foam has a cut in it but its not peeling off anything. I also have this crib bumper, light green and clean.
Let me know if you want it, I will keep them for 1 more week then they are gone.

A lot of Elena

Since Patrick doesnt like us to take pictures of him anymore, Im going to take tons of pictures of Elena.

Here's her St. Patty's day outfit. Patrick wore this as a baby, minus the bow. I made the bow for Elena. More like ripped it off a rubber band and glued it to a clip.

I love towel babies, they are my favorite photo ops and I dont think I had taken any of her yet.Peekaboo!!We took these very sweet pictures when we were all sick and waiting to recover and she was the only smiling person in the house.

Kids Videos

This is Patricks Knock Knock joke

Elena saying Da Da

New stuff

Ann and Amanda Pitts made these wonderful cupcakes for our visiting teaching conference. Arent they cute??!!!! They fit our Ant theme perfectly.

We bought Elena a new car seat off of Woot.com. A wonderful website of great things for sale. This is a $250.00 carseat and we got it for 99.00. We couldnt pass it up.
Patrick had to try it out and show his new door hanger.
Jesus made the box that the carseat came in into a rocket ship for Patrick. He loves it.

Fast, Easy, Healthy, Delicious

I have had these a couple times but this was my first time making them. They were very easy and fast to make and I couldnt stop eating theme. These are spring rolls and we love them. They are very healthy. You should try them.
Ingredients:
Shredded Carrots
Julienne sliced cucumbers
Rice Noodles (boiled)
Imitation Crab Meat/chopped to desired size (I like it small)
Chopped Cilantro
Spring Roll Wraps

Directions:
Soak the spring rolls wraps in warm water in a large frying pan so it can easily be warmed on the stove. Dont soak too long, just long enough that it softens. Put on a plate and put crab, carrots, cucumbers, cilantro, soft rice noodles. Wrap tightly. Dip in spring roll sauce which is sweet and spicy. Enjoy!!

A first

Elena slept through the nigh for the first time in her crib last night. She has only slept through the night twice before in her bassinet. She also cut her second tooth last Saturday the 7th.

Together at last

Yep, Elena and Patrick are now sleeping in the same room. We finally bought another crib mattress so Elena could sleep in her crib. We bought her some new bedding so it would be fun and girly and they are surprisingly sleeping well together, even though Elena is still waking up at least once a night. She will always go back to sleep once she is fed. I gave our bassinet to my friend Brooke who needs it now with her new little bundle of joy (We have good timing dont we Brooke?). It was kind of bitter sweet for me, making room by getting rid of furniture, but moving my last baby out of my room.

Bye Bye Bassinet

Lets go to the Zoo!

On Thursday, Jesus and I decided that we wanted to take the kids to the LA Zoo. We figured it would be fun for Patrick to be outside for a long period of time and to see all the animals. Prepare yourself for a lot of pictures.

This seal just kept swimming in circles upside down.
Going into the park
Elena enjoying her ride in the stroller
They had this little glass area with these little cute monkeys
This porcupine was huge!!
At each animal, Patrick would yell "Hi!!! Im Patrick!!!"
This exhibit was closed but they could still stick their heads in the holes
This lady was holding a small boa constrictor, Patrick wanted to see it but he would not touch it
The Meer Kats were really cute and just standing on this rock
The flamingos were gorgeous colors, I always thought that they were just that pale pink but some were this amazing bright orange
We had maybe been walking 20 minutes and Patrick was done walking and wanted to be carried, so he got the stroller and I carried Elena.
This Alligator was huge!!
The Kangaroos were pretty boring, but Patrick liked them. As he rode around in the stroller he would get out at each exhibit then jump back in when he was done looking. We were his very own taxi.
This bird was just crazy looking, it looked pre-historic to me

The Gorillas were cool to see. There was a Mom and a baby. The mom wasnt facing the crowd but the baby was just running back and forth, finally it ran up and just jumped on its moms back. There was a male sleeping on the other side and Patrick yelled "Wake Up!!!!!!"
Im pretty sure the Zebra laying down was dead
Elena couldnt have been happier being carried around by me.

Camel
Patrick and Jesus looking at the Elephant
Elena wanted to take some pictures
Watching the Elephant

There was a baby giraffe and as soon as we walked up to it, this big dark giraffe came up and stared at me. Creepy....

We stopped to have lunch for the small price of $23.00!!!! for two burgers and a hot dot!!

The Monkeys just sat on this rock staring at us
I love turtles so I had to get pictures
Lemur tails, "You got to move it move it"
The tiger kept going to the water surrounding its habitat. It looked like it wanted to swim across and eat us.
Happy boys
The hippo was boring but if you ask Patrick what he saw at the zoo he will say " A Hippo!! With a giant baseball!!"
The Leopard was beautiful
This monkey was carrying leaves up the fence in its mouth
The condor had its wings spread out all the way for a long time, it was really cool.
Elena finally crashed
How cute is he?
It was a fun time and I hope we can go back someday when the kids will actually remember it.
