Soccer games

So Patricks games are usually around the same time as Lucias games so we have been able to sit with the Caceres family and help cheer on her team. Plus we get to snuggle baby Benjamin which is a bonus.

And Darla their new puppy. Elena is in love. Puppy love.

Then we head on over to Patricks field and they help us cheer on the Lil Titans!!

 My favorite Goalie!!!

Valentines

So I have been trying to get things organized and put away and I have had stuff on our hutch in the kitchen forever. Finally I got that stuff put away and I got it looking organized and decorated for Valentines.

I wanted to make fun Valentines for the kids to take to school so we did the sucker Valentines. I didn't get a picture of Patricks before he left for school but here is the picture we used.

Patrick had to make a mailbox for his valentines so we grabbed a shoe box to wrap up and set it on the table while we went to find the paper. When we came back we found a surprise. Ivy likes boxes I guess.

Here is the picture we used for Elena's valentines an her final product

Valentines morning I made red Velvet pancakes

Elena wanted to wear makeup to preschool so I put a tiny tiny bit on her. She felt so special.

Jesús brought me home roses. Man I love him.

He also brought home stuffed animals for the kids. They were so excited. If you can't tell.

That night we offered to babysit the Meakin kids so their mom and dad could go out on a date and in return they offered to watch our kids another night. So we made pizza. Jesús found a new recipe for dough which is amazing and rises bigger than any other dough we have used.

For our date night, we attended a fancy dinner for Jesús and his colleagues. Jesús was up for an award so we wanted to go especially since we got to dress up. The dinner was spectacular and the dessert was divine. Unfortunately he didn't win but I know he's amazing so he won in my book.

Getting organized

Jesús has always told me that he could build stuff but I have to admit I was a little doubtful. I went to a presidency meeting and when I came home look what I found. He had built these awesome shelves which are sturdy and make our garage look much more less cluttered. He's awesome.

We have a soccer player!

We asked Patrick if he wanted to play soccer and he wanted to so we signed him up. This was at his very first game. Where they won!!

It was pretty dang cold so we had to bundle up really well.

He's done so well and kept up with it. There have been a couple times when he is tired and it gets frustrated that he has wanted to quit. Luckily he has been improving and he is an excellent goalie.

One of my favorite things to do is go to his games and cheer him on. I love that kid.

Call Alfred Hitchcock

We've got birds
This might be a strange post but I cannot believe all the birds here in the winter. They are so loud. One day I heard them from inside so I looked outside and saw all of them. They were everywhere!

I know its blurry but check out all the birds on that car in the parking lot of Costco. Geez!!!

Guess who I got to meet?

We had a training with Sister Cook, the first counselor in the General YW Presidency. She was released in this last General Conference but she was so cool. She is my rockstar. I cried when I met her. Sad right?

Guess who came to visit??!!

Thats right!!! My Mom!!!! Woohoo!!
I always get so excited when she comes.

And she brought us treats. Seriously the best cookies ever.

Patrick got Grandma to play Halo with him. It was pretty funny.

And Dad bought me a biscuit cutter just like his because its seriously the best. Seriously the sweetest thing and I can't wait to make biscuits again. (Pardon my sprained finger)

I gave Elena some of my old makeup so she wanted to do Grandmas makeup. Elena should work for broadway, she made Grandma look like Elphaba.

Mom and I had Emilyn come over and we made some Valentine crafts. I loved it!!! Craft night with my Mom??!!! I never get to do that anymore!

Here is my mantel with all my Valentine stuff

I bought some tulips too because they are so pretty. The first day the are all closed and smashed together but then the opened up and were so pretty.

Mom went with Elena and I to pick up Patrick. Here they are walking home across the field of the school.

Then we went to the library and played on the toys and fed the ducks and the seagulls went crazy!!! It was fun to watch them attack the bread.

We took the kids to the Bass Pro shop because there are so many fun things to see there. Its pretty similar to Cabelas but Bass Pro is closer to us. They loved the giant fish tank under the water fall. And all the stuffed animals were cool to look at.

Mom went with me to Goodwill to find some old books so I could use the pages for my other Valentine craft. I liked looking at all the old books and we found a couple of Book of Mormons there. We left them so someone else can find them and read about the gospel.  But here is my craft, I think it turned out cute.

We really miss Grandma and cant wait for her to come back to visit. The kids ask all the time when she's coming.
