Recent Happenings

I thought I would post some pictures because they are building up on my camera and I need to unload them. I said I would post some belly pictures, so I took these today when I got home from the doctor. I am almost 35 weeks and everything is looking good. Next appointment will be to check my dilation. The nurse called it my "big appointment". Patrick wanted his picture taken too so here is him saying cheese!Patrick has been having a little trouble with eating willingly and here is him wanting me to save him from the evil food.
And here he is actually enjoying his yummy meal of watermelon and honeydew melon since thats all I could get him to eat.
Last Saturday we went out to lunch with my parents and luckily, the restaurant was right behind the Honda center that Jesús has been frequenting looking at the motorcycle that he wants. Well after lunch we went over to the Honda center and Dad treated Jesús to a helmet and gloves. Dad is best friends with the owner so he gets some pretty amazing deals. Well Patrick is obsessed with motorcycles, maybe even more than my dad and Jesús put together. So here are some pictures of Patrick trying to ride every single vehicle in the store.

We have a NAME!!

It took us a while to narrow it down. We were originally going to wait until she was born but I was afraid she wouldnt have a name for a month if we did that. So here it is.We like Spanish names because he is Spanish so we were looking into those names more and this is our favorite. And Marie was my Grandma Freida's middle name and my middle name.

Woohoo!!

Look at my header!!!! And background!!!! Im not done yet, its a work in progress but I am so proud of my crafty skills. Oh and for some reason, the post below this one posted before this one even though I actually posted it after this post. Weird. But read it.

Some updates

Well first of all, I turned 33 weeks pregnant on Tuesday and the count down has begun. The counter on the side of my page is a day or so off for some reason but believe me, Sept 2nd cant come fast enough. I am very tired of being pregnant, literally. I cant sleep due to the fact that this little girl never stops moving and my hips hurt like crazy but not every night luckily. The past few nights she has gotten the hiccups for like 15 minutes at a time. When Patrick used to get the hiccups I thought it was cute at first and then it just got old and I am feeling the same way this time. I went to the doctor last week and everything is measuring on schedule.
Jesús spent last weekend taking his motorcycle safety course in order to get his license. He got his permit before we left for Utah. His instructor told him that he is a very safe and cautious driver and he only had one mistake on his driving test. Now the only thing to do is to sell the truck so we can afford a down payment on a motorcycle to make our payments as low as possible and so that Jesús can afford his safety gear.
The other night we were pretty warm and needed some cool yummy dessert to eat and to cool us down. So this is what I came up with. It was just chocolate pudding layered with raspberry pie filling in a nice wine glass. It turned out really pretty so I had to take a picture. Im not sure why this is post worthy but oh well.
Our ward had a girls night out last night at La Mina and it was so much fun. I have to admit that I wasnt too excited about it but I am so glad I went. Mom and Stephanie talked me into it and we all went together. I was able to get a few pictures. This is our Young Women president Karen Carter wearing the biggest pair of underwear I have ever seen. And here we are after dinner talking and socializing. It was a way fun night and I made a few new friends and was able to see one that moved away awhile ago and was back visiting.

Look what I did!!

Once again I am feeling sick due to the lack of immune system during my pregnancy. The same thing happened near the end of my last pregnancy. I seem to catch anything going around and it takes me a long time to get over it. But as I sat here on the couch and watch Patrick, I am practicing making small scrapbook pieces or things I can use on my blog. I will eventually create a header that I like and I will soon have a whole new look for my blog. But so far, look what I did!!! I am so proud of myself.

Yuck!!!

Ok, I am sick to my stomach. I could be due to the fact that I am eight months pregnant or it could be from in preparation for the new baby I have been pulling all the old baby stuff out of the garage and in doing so have found that a mouse has been living in Patricks old carseat and in his old boxes of clothes. When we moved into this condo, we were happy to discover that we would get an unattatched garage. Well, I put Patricks big stroller in the garage and I tossed one of our sheets rolled up into the stroller. About a month later I was pulling the stroller out of the garage and I picked up the rolled up sheet and mouse droppings fell out of the end and I looked down to see a mouse tail hanging out of the end as well. I was so totally freaked out because mice can carry disease and pregnant women should not be around animal feces. I ended up leaving the sheet in a pile in the garage and I cleaned the stroller with boiling water and Pinesol. Well I pulled out Patricks old boxes of baby clothes a few days ago, along with his old carseat and guess what I found?? Yep, mouse poop!!!!! So I have washed the baby clothes and I am washing and bleaching the carseat. I pulled the carseat and the base apart and in the base I found that the mouse had been chewing through the seat belt part and there was mouse poop all in the crevices of the base. Stupid mouse!!

Playing catch up

We're home!!!!!! I actually woke up still thinking I was in Utah. I will try and recap the rest of our vacation in order and hopefully I will remember everything.
Tuesday night Jesus and I went to Deseret industries(correction-Distribution center, thanks Mom) and bought everything we needed for the temple that we didnt already have. Then we went next door to Deseret book and bought bags to carry everything in and we ran into Mindy Sergeant and talked to her for awhile. When we left I was so excited because I felt so much closer to the temple. When we got home we realized that we needed to hem the pants that Jesús bought if we wanted to go to the temple on Thursday like we planned. Well I have never hemmed pants before so I was kind of guessing how to do it. Well when Shelley and I couldnt figure out how to get her sewing machine to work I decided to turn to our very good friend Ann Anderson. I called her the next morning and she said she would love to help. So Patrick and I headed over to her condo in Orem. It was awesome to see her and to visit with her for like 4 hours. We talked about everything and I really missed that. I wish she would move back to Bakersfield. I am also excited because she said she would be my birthing coach. She is going to come to Bakersfield and help me learn to deal the pain of having a baby which is so good because I am nervous about having a VBAC. Sarah came over too and we all sat and talked forever. Well after Patrick and I left we went back to the Moreno's and Jesús and I got ready to go to the temple. We laid Patrick down for a nap and Jesús and his parents and his brother Sebastian and I went to Ruby River where Sebastian works and we all had lunch. All I can say is "Good food!" After lunch Jesús and I drove to American Fork and went to the Timponogos temple to do a session. I have always wanted to go inside that temple because it is so beautiful outside. It was even more amazing inside.

THE 4TH OF JULY
In the morning we decided to go to the Parade in Provo because we heard it was really fun and Jesús's brother was marching in it. It took us a long time to find parking but we finally did and we parked pretty close to Sara's old apartment which she was sitting out in front of. She drove down the night before and played games with us at the Moreno's. Well we werent able to sit next to her at the parade but we still had a good time.

This is Jesús's brother Sebastian marching in the parade. He is the one closest to the camera in the front row.
When we got bored of the parade, Sara ran across the street and we went to see Walle at the mall. It was a very good movie. We went back to the house and laid Patrick down for a nap. When he woke up he headed over to my Aunt Patty's house for a picnic at the park. There was a lot of my family there. Some of them I havent seen since our wedding.

Here's Patrick playing with my cousin Brandon.
Here are the grandaughters that were at the picnic with Grandma Joy.
Here are Sara and her friend Noelle. They were enjoying the creek by the park. After the picnic we took Grandma and Grandpa home and then headed back to the Moreno's for a fabulous BBQ and fireworks. There was only one firework but we bought a lot of sparklers and the poppers that you throw on the ground. Patrick had a good time with the sparklers until he touched the wrong end and from then on he was a little scared of them.
Patrick and Uncle Nick playing with the sparklers.

Jesús got a little goofy
What a happy boy for so late at night
Here are Patrick and Nick watching the firework go off in the street. Patrick got kind of scared from the noise it made.

Here is Gabe playing with the sparklers. He eventually was trying to singe his let hair off.
Here is Daddy teaching Patrick how to ride the skateboard safely.

Later that night Gabe got a little bored and locked himself into the dogs cage. He had planned on scaring Nick but instead the joke was played on him as Jesús and Nick carried the cage outside.
The morning we left the whole family (except Gabe) went to the Cracker Barrel for breakfast. As we were walking up to the restaurant we were surprised to see Robert and Debby Jackson, Michael and Cari Jackson and their adorable son Tino, and Robby and Tammy Hunt. It was so fun to see them, I wish we had gotten a picture.
Well here is a picture of the family at breakfast, but I'm not sure why Becca wouldnt smile. Boo Becca!!!!We did get a picture of the whole family except Roxanna and Diego in Texas and Roseamber in Bakersfield before we left
But all the boys were there and here they are in order
We even got a picture of our little family
We decided to break up the drive home into two days. The trip is a little too long to do in one shot so we stayed at my uncle Dougs house in St. George for the night then drove home on Sunday. The traffic was pretty bad coming home because of the Holiday weekend and Patrick was over it about 2 and half hours from home.
Whenever we drive past Parowan my mom always tells us to put our hands over our hearts because that is where Mom was born, so for this trip, I took a picture.
Patrick spent some of the trip watching Finding Nemo on my Ipod. It kept him pretty occupied for while.

Then the boredom set in.

When we got home and Jesús was unloading the car, this is what he found in the grass by our condo. Patrick wanted to play with it.

Got my hair did!

Yep, I talked to Raquel about coloring my hair and she told my that Tuesday morning she wasnt doing anything so she could give me a weave to give my hair some highlights and here are photos of the process.

Yikes!!
Before the toner went inThe finished product! I love it! Its more blond then I have ever done but I love it. I will have to let you know if blonds have more fun. You can compare the pictures from my hair cut and this one to see the difference in color.
On another note, I went to my uncles house today and found my camera charger that I left here when we came for the graduation. I am so excited because I was worried that my camera was going to die before the 4th of July and I wouldnt be able to take any pictures.
