Patricks last game

After the temple walk, Patrick had his last game of the season which they won. He did such a great job and I'm so proud of him and all of his hard work. 

 After his game we stayed to watch Lucia's last game. 

Temple walk

The Young Women in our ward wanted to walk to the temple as their personal progress project. They walked 9 miles in 4 hours. It was fun and hard and spiritual. I'm glad they were all able to finish it. And I'm glad I was able to be apart. 

 During the walk I found Patricks name in the sidewalk. I had to take a picture.

Ashlyn and Elena

In an attempt to help the Bradshaws in their move, we watched Ashlyn so they wouldn't have to entertain her while they loaded the truck. Elena and Ashlyn became good friends while they lived here. I know Elena is going to miss her. I'm glad they got to hang out all day.

Enjoying cool weather

I love spring. Its a great time to get out and do things. The kids have been enjoying the trampoline while we are outside taking care of the yard.

Gum

So Elena had an incident. Somehow she got gum stuck in her hair. I might have started to cry because I thought we were going to have to cut her hair. Jesús saved the day with peanut butter. He was able to get it all out.

 And her hair is still beautiful.

Fixed, Goal, Butterflies

So we had Ivy fixed and and declawed. Haha. Poor cat. 

 Patrick made his first goal in his last game. It was awesome!!! I screamed so loud and I was so proud of him and so happy that he could see all his hard work pay off. So he drew his picture. Him making a goal and the other players sad that they couldn't stop him.

 Elena's class is learning about caterpillars and butterflies. I got to make this fun poster where they could track their observations. 

Happy Easter

Patrick got this great Bow tie from Grandma Connie for Easter. I think he looks very handsome but it he needs a little convincing

Our yard

Our yard is a little rough. The grass is dead in a lot of areas and the fence needs to be updated. We are waiting to see what has been planted before and will grow back this spring. So far we have this fun little rose bush that grows on our back fence. I planted a few things in pots just in the spirit of spring but its sort of late for them to flower.

 I was cutting back the rose bush and found this pretty rose growing on a smaller rose bush

 Our sprinklers don't work and Jesús has been working on them but the I'm guessing the grass will have to be redone but that will have to happen next spring after we get a feel for what we have.

Getting caught up

I'm so close to getting caught up. I feel like I have been posting like crazy but it feels good to be getting up to date on my blog. If you've missed my posts there are all under these first 3 because I've been putting the correct dates on them so they go pretty far back into last year.

Opossum and General conference

Patrick came into the house one day with his friend that lives next door. He said that there was big animal with a big pink tail outside. So I ran outside and there was a huge fat opossum. Gross. And they are mean! So Jesús chased it out of our yard. 

 Oh and did I mention we have a lot of rabbits?

 I love general conference weekend. I love to hear the words of the prophets and to feel the spirit by listening to their inspired talks.

We got a Trampoline

Jesús's sister got a call asking them if they wanted a trampoline and they don't room in their backyard so she asked us if we wanted it. For free. We said yes! They dropped all the pieces off in our driveway in the rain. When we got it set up and Patrick got home from school, thats the first thing he did. 

 Elena was sick when we got it so she couldn't go outside in the cold so when she was feeling better she took advantage.

March and April Randomness

Ivy is a strange cat. She acts like a dog sometimes. I can't stand her. Jesús and the kids love her. Oh well.

 I was putting in my contacts the other morning and Elena grabbed my glasses. She's a cutie even with glasses on.

 I've been practicing my flute. I want to get over getting nervous in Sacrament meeting but that means practice. Also I want to try out for Bens group that is coming to Dallas and I have a lot of work to do. 

 I like to sit on the porch while the kids play in the front yard. I love our neighborhood. 

 Roegan Cola had a birthday party at Cosmic Jump and we were able to make it after Patricks soccer game.

 Amber made a super cute army cake for Roegan. She's so dang talented!!! Teach me your ways oh wise one. 

 Oh and we had some plumbing problems. Boo. We noticed that the kids bathroom wall next to the toilet and behind the shower was soggy so we called our warranty company and they sent out a guy who said that he fixed it but of course he didn't. So when we noticed it was getting worse and a little mildewy we decided that nothing had been fixed. So when Jesús poked his finger into the wall, it crumbled. Turns out the tub drain was completely disconnected. So Jesús fixed that part but we noticed that there was still a stream of water shooting out of the main water line. So we called the plumber back and he had to completely redo the piping of the main water line. Jesús bought a panel to cover the hole so if we ever have more plumbing problems with that shower we have easy access.
