Last day of preschool

Elena's preschool has a fun swim day and we had a great time. One of my little preschoolers gave me this as a gift.  I will miss her, she is so smart and sweet. Probably the most well behaved 5 year old I've ever met. 

 The kids had so much fun hanging on and enjoying the chalk and water.

Preschool Graduation

I had the great blessing of being a part of Elena's preschool graduation because I work at her preschool. I work with amazing women and I adore all those little kids. Elena's class and the younger class that was moving up got to perform all their songs that they have been working on.

 Here is Elena and her friend Brigitte. Brigitte's mom became my dear friend that I really look up to. She is also the Young Womens president in her ward. She is a great example to me and I want to be more like her and to have a testimony like hers. 

Afterwards we went to lunch to celebrate. I love this little girl and I am so proud of the progress she has made. She is still learning and preparing for Kindergarten and we might have the opportunity to do preschool again but we will have to see how she does by the beginning of next school year. 

Kindergarten performance

We got to attend Patricks end of the year kindergarten performance where they sang all the songs they have been practicing in music class. It was so fun to watch. We are so proud of him. 

Moms here!

Dad was going to Houston so Mom decided to come to Dallas. I'm so glad she did because I definitely in need of some Mom time. We went to the splash park because it was getting hot. It was a good time.

We got some good shopping time in and I was able to get some ideas on decorating the house.

 

 We did a little shopping at the outlets. Elena had to try on the fancy hats.

 And they broke in the car rug that Grandma bought Patrick. We love when Grandma comes to visit. 

I'm a lucky woman

Jesús loves to cook. Its something he really enjoys and I reap the benefits. Sometimes he comes home from work and to unwind he makes dinner. I'm so lucky to have him and that he has found something that he enjoys and helps give him a break from all the hard work he does for us. 

Fathers and Sons

I forgot about this activity, mostly because I wasn't there. I had to steal these off of Jesús's computer. Jesús said it was hard to put the tent up all by himself. We bought this tent so we could go camping but had yet put it up. 

 Nathan Wicker brought a canoe and Patrick and Jesús got to have a ride. Jesús says he loved it. 

 Patrick had such a fun time. Maybe next year Elena can go on the Father Daughter camp out. 

Mothers Day 2013

I love being a mother to these to amazing kids. I adore them and I love watching them when they don't know and they are just being themselves and being sweet and creative.  Its my greatest calling.

Jesús will probably hate me but I love this picture. This is the Moreno boys minus Sebastian and we were all together and Mom(Shelley) wanted a picture of the boys and their hairy faces. In an effort to capture a serious picture I got this. Describes them exactly. Goofy boys.

Christmas Ornament

I have been wanting to make a christmas ornament for 2012 that has to do with our house. At preschool I was in charge of making the kids handprints in salt dough so with the extra I made a handy dandy ornament. I'm trying to decide if I should paint it. 

Tea Party

 My mom sent me my old tea set and Elena has been begging to use it. So I made some tea and broke up some cookies. It was a fun little tea party.

Bike riding

Patrick wants to learn to ride his bike without training wheels. We are still working on it. He's made good progress though.

End of the season soccer party

Patricks team had an end of the year soccer party. Even though Patrick had a good year, we weren't really impressed with his coach and he ended up showing up to the party almost two hours late and he was bringing the drinks. So the kids were hot and tired and thirsty but he took his sweet time. We won't be on that team again if he is the coach.
