I received a call from Elena's doctor this morning telling me that she is looking really good and that she is eating well and the plan is to wean her off of her IV so that she can eat on her own. So she wont be coming home today unfortunately but he is almost sure tomorrow is the day. I called the doctor today worried about the way I was feeling and the doctor that performed my surgery heard I had called and asked me to come in to make sure everything was alright. I was told everything is looking fine and that he expects me to be a little worried after all that has happened. I was given a few more blood tests which I have found out are all in the normal range. After leaving the doctor we made our way over to the NICU to see Elena and we made it just in time for lunch time. I was able to breast feed her for the first time which was wonderful because I was so worried that it had been so long that she might want a bottle instead. She latched on really well and ate really well. It was a wonderful moment. Jesús has been absolutely amazing taking care of me and things around the house. I hate that he had to be so worried for me and I love him so much.

You guys have gone through so much these past few days! You will be so much stronger as a family and will be able to share that with your children forever! We love you!! Stay strong and kiss that little baby for us!
Wow ... what a roller coaster - you are amazing. I am so happy to hear that baby will be coming home soon and that all is well with you post-op. Keep us updated - love.
Sounds like things are looking up! We're still keeping you in our prayers though. If you need or want ANYTHING AT ALL let us know, I'm assuming with all the stress no one has had much of an appetite, so whenever Jesus gets hungry we're right here :) I'm awesome at doing laundry too (just not my own) so seriously ANYTHING you need!
Allison - She is absolutely beautiful and I am so happy to hear that you are "in the normal range" ;) You have been in our thoughts and prayers. We love you and appreciate Jesus too. Let me know if I can do anything at all. Jill
Elena is adorable! And I can't believe you are already blogging. Hope both of you continure to do well. I put your names on the temple prayer roll when I worked on Tuesday.
I checked to see if you had the baby and you did! I am so sorry for the scary stuff and hope you are feeling better. Elena is beautiful! I know she will be all cute and social and SMART just like Patrick. Congratulations from us!

WOW! What a little trooper you are. Handling so much at such a young age. You make me proud to know you. I hope Elena comes home soon, maybe even before you read this. Elena is so pretty and I am so glad she is doing better and nursing. Both of you are still in my prayers as well as a lot of others I am sure. Hang in there and this to will pass. Remember the infamous words of private Rufus Bubba Hermokrates at the battle of the Little Big Horn after being shot in the buttocks with a Sioux arrow “Holy crap that hurt”. Yeah it didn’t make much since to me either, I just thought I would share that with you. I guess the moral of the story is always keep your bum down when your in a indian fight. (If I made you laugh I am happy) P.S. no offense to the Greek population, all names were merely fictitious were not meant to resemble anyone real.
