Sara and Bryan's wedding Part I

Sara got married!!!! But before that, we had to get there. We bought plane tickets for all of us to fly to Salt Lake and Mom and Dad took care of the housing situation by renting a nice house for us all to stay in while we were there. Here are the kids before we got on the plane. Patrick was nervous so we kept explaining to him what it would be like. I don't think Elena even cared what was going on.

After we got off the plane, the first thing we did was find a place to eat. I was only looking for a Cafe Rio sign and I found one. It was awesome. A dream come true since last summer.

 

The mountains were a beautiful sight. I couldn't stop staring at them. They were spectacular. Texas needs mountains. Pronto. The house we were staying in had an great little park behind it, so Stephanie and I walked the kids to the park to play. It was awesome to catch up with Stephanie, I have missed her so much. The kids couldn't have cared less about the toys. The wanted to make a campfire. Right in the middle of the sidewalk. The weather was so nice that I think we were there for quite a while.

 

On Saturday we had a family BBQ with my Moms side of the family and our little family got to meet Bryan. He is awesome and will make a fantastic brother in law. I also got see my dad for the first time since we moved. I admit I may have cried a little, I have really missed him. 

My uncle Matt brought dry ice for the boys to play with they were in heaven. I'm sure they would have stayed out there all day. And Patrick was glued to Max's side.

 The little kids all went down to the park and made even more camp fires. 

 I went with Sara and Bryan and Kristina to run a few errands because they were headed to Walmart and I needed to grab a few things. Aren't they cute?!!! Ah young love.

 Speaking of Kirshmina, I had so much fun hanging out with her. Its been a while since she moved to Colorado and I moved to Texas. I have never seen anyone take so many naps. That girl works hard and deserved some naps.

 Sunday after church we went to temple square to wander around. Its difficult to not feel the spirit there. As soon as we saw the spires of the temple I felt such a peaceful feeling. I'm glad we were there together.

 We walked around for a while and explained what the kids were seeing and why it was quiet there. Patrick wanted his picture taken and had some great poses. Elena.....well, we will work on that.

Summer fun

These are more pictures of random things we have been doing. Jesús' parents have a community pool so we have been going there a lot because they have a kiddie pool that is only 3 or 4 feet deep and a 1 foot pool for little tiny kids. Patrick was able to practice his swimming there and has become so brave and very good at swimming. Afterwards we go to Grandma and Grandpas and Patrick found this awesome mask.

 The last time we swam there, Elena had an owie on her hand and she didn't want to get it wet. So she sat on the side and cried. She eventually decided that she would rather swim and she jumped in.

 Probably because Lucia was having such a great time jumping in.

 While walking into the fabric store, we saw this. We had seen the batman movie just the night before. It was so awesome.

 Roxanna's branch gave her a baby shower. It was very different than any shower I have been to but we had a good time.

The other day I was sitting at the computer and heard a very high pitched scream. I looked toward the bathroom and watched patrick speedily run on his tippy toes to the bedroom. I got up to see what was wrong and as I walked past his room, I glanced in and he started whimpering. 

I asked him what was wrong and he said he saw a little pink lizard. So I looked around the bathroom and found this cute little gecko. I put him in a glass so we could see him close up. Patrick was less afraid when he saw that I was not. I put him outside and told Patrick that geckos eat bugs so we want them around and to not scream anymore when he sees them. I hope that works.

Texas Rangers

Our youth got to go to a Rangers game as end of summer activity. Luckily I had just been called as Young Women president and got to go with them. It was such a fun game!! The stadium was absolutely packed and the entertainment was awesome. They sang and danced and did the wave and had elvis's riding mini motorcycles around the stadium. We were there on Firework Friday and they turned all the lights off in the stadium so we could watch the fireworks. 

 The stadium was amazing. We were right above home plate so we had a great view of everything. I went out with one of the young women and noticed that I could see Cowboys stadium from being so high up. Their stadium seemed to be glowing. Now I want to go there just to see what its like. 

 I seriously had so much fun and I got to know one my new counselors better. This is the picture I sent to miss Amber Cola so she would want to come to Texas even more. I hope it worked.

Pioneer day

For Pioneer Day we went to celebrate in Jesús' parents stake. They did it inside so it was cool and they had a bunch of fun stuff going on. We got to make ice cream in baggies and cotton candy and pie contests and face painting. I got to wait in line with these two cute little girls to get their faces painted. 

 We ran into an old friend from Bakersfield too. Mike Perry had 3 little girls that were close Sara and my ages. I didn't get a chance to talk to him but it was crazy to see him there and to find out he lives so close to us.
