I did something mean

The other day I was doing laundry and decided to organize my pantry and laundry room storage cupboard a little bit. I was kneeling on the floor pulling stuff out and the washer started the spin cycle. Lately the spin cycle is really loud and shakes the washing machine pretty vigorously. Patrick came up behind me and asked what was wrong with the washing machine. As a joke I said "Its going to explode you better get out" I didnt say it in a panicked voice, just a calm voice as I kept pulling stuff out of the cupboard. I saw him leave out of the corner of my eye and I grabbed a few more things and then stood up and walked into the kitchen. I heard hysterical crying and I looked over by the stairs of the family room and saw Patrick pushing Elena up the stairs and in his crying hysterical voice he said, "Elena we have to get out! The washing machine is going to explode!!!". The look on his face broke my heart and I quickly told him that I was just joking. There was relief on his face and I hugged him tight. He started laughing and all was well, but I really felt bad. No more practical jokes on 3 year olds I guess.

Our theft drama

So I should probably post that two days ago we were robbed. I went out to the car to take Jesús to work and saw glass on the ground and looked up to see someone had smashed in our car window. They stole my ipod touch, a bag of winter scarves, Patricks little back packs, a firewood holder and wicker basket I bought at good will, and worst of all my flute. I have played the flute since 4th grade and I got a really nice one when I started taking private lessons. I dont play it very much but I will once in a while perform for a family holiday gathering or when I am asked to play at church. It is something I love and treasure and it truly broke my heart to discover it was gone. Earlier I had been at my Moms practicing for the Stake Relief Society talent show that I had signed up for just for fun. I left the flute in my car when we got home because I had brought home a ton of music and with carrying the kids and all their junk, I just didnt have enough arms. I had planned on going back out later to get it but I forgot. I kept thinking several times during the day, "What if it gets stolen? Go get it" Well I never did and its gone. The neighbor across the street also got his car stolen. The next morning an officer showed up at the door and asked if we were the ones that had been burglarized and I said yes and he told me they had caught the guys and found the car and some of the stuff. The only things we got back were Patricks back packs and some papers they stole from the glove compartment and our old check book which I didnt even know was in there. I still have not heard anything about the flute and I am praying they find it. At least they found them and our neighbor got his car back.

My kids and their sweet faces

So last year Patrick had a little incident that looked a little something like this.

Two days ago, Elena had a little incident that looked a little something like this.
I don't understand why it is necessary that they damage their sweet faces. I'm okay with scars on their knees or arms but their faces??? Come on! She was just walking and tripped over a pillow and went right into the fireplace, not even the top of it just the side. I can't believe how much it bled. Someone teach me how not to panic next time.

Sometimes she looks like this....

This was after her nap the other day, I swear I didnt even touch it. Isn't it fabulous?

Sunday pictures

The kids looked pretty dang cute after church so I got some pictures. I'm not really sure why Patrick took his shirt off. Again.

A little bathroom issue

We discovered that there was a small leak in the master bathroom and the Hunts have been working ridiculously hard to fix it, because they're awesome like that. Fortunately we get a new shower! As of now these are changes we have been watching.

We also have a lovely new addition

The old oven couldnt broil. Sears tried to fix it several times but they weren't successful. So here it is. I tried it out last night and mad some breaded baked chicken, and guess what? It baked and broiled!! Very exciting!

He was tired too

Yes he really fell asleep that way
